Final Fantasy XIII-2: Caius’ Theme. The main antagonist (maybe?) of the game, his theme is very dark and very powerful. The choir singing in Latin really brings this ominous, strong theme towards the character.
I literally get chills at 1:34. Holy shit, that is beautiful. The double rhythm with the last note increasing by a whole step in each iteration, followed by the tension note on the last iteration to release a little…repeat that same process, but push that tension way high, with no release. Constant suspense into a dark march, and then a constant crescendo to further increase said suspense, and THEN a triplet unison chord pushed by everybody.
Damn.
